At Nitya’s Yoga and Bodyworks we are passionate about our work and truly believe in the benefits of therapeutic massage. We incorporate a wide range of massage modalities tailored to address the individual clients needs. Our treatments are designed to promote healing, wellness and relaxation.


Deep tissue massage focuses on the deeper layers of muscle tissue. Deep tissue massage is known to releases chronic patterns of tension in the body through slow strokes and deep finger pressure on the contracted areas, either following or going across the grain of muscles, tendons and fascia.


Neuromuscular massage is used to help relieve chronic or acute pain by addressing the lack of blood flow to soft tissues that can cause hypersensitivity to touch, it is also helpful in relieving pain from active trigger points and addresses nerve pain caused by postural and biomechanical dysfunction.


Myofascial massage is a technique that uses a firm but mild sustained pressure to gently stretch facia to eliminate restrictions that cause abnormal alignment in the body that cause pain and limit movement in the muscular skeletal system.


Swedish massage uses techniques ranging from light gliding strokes, firm kneading of the muscles, friction, light tapping, and gentle shaking and vibration to reduce pain and improve mobility.


Prenatal massage is therapeutic bodywork that focuses on the special needs of the mother-to-be as her body goes through the dramatic changes of pregnancy. It enhances the function of muscles and joints, improves circulation and general body tone, and relieves mental and physical fatigue.


Hot stone massage is a type of massage therapy that involves the use of smooth, heated stones. The localized heat and weight of the stones warm and relax muscles, allowing the massage therapist to apply deeper pressure to those areas without causing discomfort.


Sports massage is a form of bodywork geared toward participants in athletics. It is used to help prevent injuries, to prepare the body for athletic activity and maintain it in optimal condition, and to help athletes recover from workouts and injuries.


Lymphatic massage encourage the natural drainage of the lymph, which carries waste products away from the tissues back toward the heart.


In reflexology the therapist will massage specific areas of the foot or sometimes the hand in order to promote healing, relieve stress, etc., in other parts of the body. Reflexology is a unique method of using the thumb and fingers on these reflex areas.


Cancellation Policy

Please be aware that when you cancel your appointment on short notice we are not able to offer that time slot to other clients who may be waiting. For this reason, cancellation must be made at least 24 hours prior to your appointment.Late cancellations (less than 24 hours prior to your appointment) will result in a cancellation fee of 50% of the scheduled service price.
